Clicking on any of eight buttons (resize or position) doesn't change the size or position of the test screen. Attached is an example screenshot (not mine) to show you what buttons I'm talking about. I'm using a NVIDIA FX5200 with proprietary drivers. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

As I can't check the range for timing modifications it's always a try and error call. Under bad conditions it may happen that each call failed. You can try to reduce the step size from the menu and check again. In some rare cases the monitor itself doesn't allow already centered pictures to change. The timing changes but the picture doesn't because it's immediately corrected by the display. This applies to TFT/LCD displays only - Is your picture centered ? - Does it require changes ? - Is this a CRT or TFT/LCD display ? https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=274583 ------- Comment #5 from sergio@sgmail.com.ar 2007-05-15 09:29 MST ------- In reply to your questions: - The picture is centered yes, but doesn't cover the entire screen. There is a grey border around the picture. - The display is a CRT Phillips 107S5 (17") I'll try doing more test, but I remember it worked on 10.1 mmm, I'm leaving this as NEEDINFO until I can test more. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

Well in your first comment you said it wasn't possible to adapt the screen size or position, if this is still the case it's clear why the cache is empty and why no changes will are made. Please remember my comment #4. The xfine application can only send a wish for a new timing to the server, if the server can't change this timing the range for changes is at its end. It may happen that you can't arrange the screen as you wish to do. In such a case you can only try to change the hsync/vsync frequencies within sax2 and give it a next try. The new frequencies could cause another/better position and size of the screen -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
