http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=586087 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=586087#c0 Summary: Package manager: changes to wolumn widths are not preserved Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: groszdanireg@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/4.4; Linux) KHTML/4.4.1 (like Gecko) SUSE In the Qt package manager manual column width changes are forgotten if you switch tab or resize the window. 1. change the width of a column. 2. switch to an other tab. 3. switch back. The change to the column width is not preserved. Alternatively, change a column width and resize the window. The column widths jump back to some automatic default. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. change the width of a column. 2. switch to an other tab. 3. switch back. Alternatively: 1. change the width of a column. 2. Resize the window (a few pixels are enough). Actual Results: The column widths jump back to some automatic default. Expected Results: Preserve the manual changes to the column width (with proportional changes in the case of resizing the window). The automatic defaults are not particularly wise. Often the Summary and the Size columns are narrower while the Package name and Installed (Available) version columns are wider than what is reasonable. As long as the defaults are not smart enough to make it convenient to use the defaults in most of the cases, I would prefer that the column widths be preserved even between sessions. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
