Users who do not own the device also receive an error message saying they do not have permission to access the device. A few patches have worked to fix this issue. First, gio which is part of the glib2 package must be patched with this patch from David Zeuthen http://bugzilla.gnome.org/attachment.cgi?id=110066&action=view which will prevent gnome from showing icons on the desktop if a user dosen't have permission to access it. After that you must patch lbmount.c with a patch created by Jakob Perry with components from Warren Togami which can be found here http://bugzilla.gnome.org/attachment.cgi?id=110977&action=view. For an explanation of Jakob's work go here http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=526320#c24." lbmount patch goes in ltsp's lbmount package, there are other patches that go in gnome. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Do we need to patch both gnome-vfs and gvfs? It looks like the gvfs fix was taken upstream. That leaves the lbmount patch. I don't think I'm the correct person to talk to there - who maintains lbmount in Novell? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
