https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=768581 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=768581#c0 Summary: rcspamd stop doesn't terminate spamd Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: rnissl@gmx.de QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:13.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/13.0 According to systemd, the spamd.service has been stopped, but actually, it is still running. It looks like killproc is not able to terminate this process. Killing the process manually by its PID works. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. rcspamd start 2. rcspamd stop 3. ps ax | grep spamd Actual Results: corei7:~ # ps ax | grep spamd 3214 ? Ss 0:01 /usr/sbin/spamd -d -c -L -r /var/run/spamd.pid 3217 ? S 0:00 spamd child 3218 ? S 0:00 spamd child 3390 pts/0 S+ 0:00 grep --color=auto spamd corei7:~ # Expected Results: corei7:~ # ps ax | grep spamd 3390 pts/0 S+ 0:00 grep --color=auto spamd corei7:~ # Looks like it is not depending on systemd. pidof /usr/sbin/spamd doesn't report anything either (might be an issue with scripts in general). rcspamd stop and the therefore used killproc did work successfully in 10.1. /var/run/spamd.pid contains the correct PID of the process (3214). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
