If you are willing to open machines there are some machines in storage that were problematic and are waiting to be returned to IBM.

Most of these would have an IPR adapter. There is the caveat that although the adapter is called IPR since POWER7 the adapters somewhat vary depending on machine type.

Thanks for that. I can follow up with such scavenging attempts cycling and visiting the various SUSE locations but only after we exhausted any other "plan B" options as offered by Frederic :)
