The ethernet interface has a cable connected. I dont know if the wlan interface can be used at all in our office. After an installation from DVD, with autoconfiguration and gnome desktop, the configured interface was wlan. Why did yast prefer wlan over eth? What is supposed to happen if a system has an ethernet card with cable plugged in and an (unused) wlan device? Also, after yast2 lan was started, the gnome start menu still had the Network: wireless, Interface: wlan0 active. This changed after a rcnetwork restart. I expected that yast does update such info.
