However, with my 12.1 installation DVD, F5 let me only choose between kernel options "Default", "Safe Settings", "No ACPI", and "No local APIC". Using the "init=/sbin/sysvinit" kernel option did not change the situation either. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Does it possible you can help to create a openSUSE 11.2 Live USB, then boot to rescue system? Please following the "Create a Live USB (GUI)" section in this wiki: http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Live_USB_stick + Download LiveCD ISO: http://software.opensuse.org/ (I think you already done this step) + Install ImageWriter: follow wiki or run "zypper in imagewriter" + Write ISO to USB: follow wiki to run SUSE Studio Imagewriter UI + boot with this USB flash.
