This would make more clear if the brcm80211 is already built as module in your system. Also, you can confirm in another way. Try running "modprobe -l | grep brcm". For broadcom, there is a brcm opensource driver and proprietary driver which broadcom releases in http://www.broadcom.com/support/802.11/linux_sta.php. brcm driver in kernel of course is still developing. There are still bugs in Broadcom releasing driver. I am not sure if we can distribute this proprietary driver.. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

ok, so that's why it's not working out of the box.
It would be nice if the installer could give this information, and propose the installation from packman automatically. For installation, it would not be possible due to some legal issues. Recommend users to add the http://pmbs.links2linux.org/download/Essentials/openSUSE_12.1/ and install it manually.
So closed this as won't fix. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
