[Bug 1205722] New: Bluetooth headset connects but not available in audio devices (KDE)
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1205722 Bug ID: 1205722 Summary: Bluetooth headset connects but not available in audio devices (KDE) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Sound Assignee: tiwai@suse.com Reporter: i@guoyunhe.me QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- My Bluetooth headset used to work perfectly on Tumbleweed. However, after a recent snapshot upgrade, it stop working. I can connect the Bluetooth. But it doesn't show in KDE's audio device list. I found a message in journal log, not sure if it is related: pulseaudio[2428]: Could not find org.bluez.BatteryProviderManager1.RegisterBatteryProvider(), is bluetoothd started with experimental features enabled (-E flag)? I have a workaround that I have to do it every time when I boot my system: 1. sudo systemctl restart bluetooth 2. plasmashell --replace 3. re-connect bluetooth headset and it will appear in audio device list -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

PA hasn't been updated for long time, and if any, it should be the update of bluez that broke things. Could you try to downgrade bluez and libbluetooth3 packages from TW history repo, and check whether the issue persists or not? http://download.opensuse.org/history/ -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

However, it still doesn't work. I will try to build older bluez version on OBS and see if any of them work. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

It has nothing to do with bluez. My system has installed pulseaudio and pipewire, but pipewire doesn't seem to work with pulseaudio. I install pipewire-pulseaudio package, which obsoletes pulseaudio. Then reboot. My headset can be recognized now. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
