[Bug 461956] New: Everything written using Adobe Helvetica font garbled, nvidia 96.43.09, KDE 3.5.10
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=461956 Summary: Everything written using Adobe Helvetica font garbled, nvidia 96.43.09, KDE 3.5.10 Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: sndirsch@novell.com ReportedBy: zylon@post.cz QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: Customer Reproduction: 1.Install nvidia 96.43.09 display driver (rpm package or installer from ftp://download.nvidia.com) 2.Run KDE 3.5.10, In the Control center change all fonts to Adobe helvetica. All texts written using that font will be garbled. Further investigation: Everything is OK when standard nv driver is used. When Render extension is disabled (NoRenderExtension "1" in "Device" section of xorg.conf) texts are rendered correctly. Using Composite extension results into mess on the screen, no texts rendered at all. Same combination of KDE and nvidia driver on openSUSE 11.0 worked perfectly, Composite extension worked too. I guess this is problem of X.org. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
