After a while I found this message in /var/log/gdm/:0-slave.log: cpp: fatal error: -fuse-linker-plugin, but liblto_plugin.so not found compilation terminated. I couldn't find out which package is missing, or which config file to edit. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot the system Actual Results: No login screen appears.
