[Bug 483236] New: Make symlink "ln -s /usr/bin/gnomesu /usr/bin/gksu" in libgnomesu package
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=483236 Summary: Make symlink "ln -s /usr/bin/gnomesu /usr/bin/gksu" in libgnomesu package Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: ilfirin.ms@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; cs-CZ; rv:1.9.0.6) Gecko/2009012700 SUSE/3.0.6-0.1 Firefox/3.0.6 Hello. Many third party programs for Gnome desktop, when they needs superuser privilegies, calls "gksu". In OpenSUSE Gnome is this utility named "gnomesu" instead of "gksu" which leads to errors. Perfect workaround is to make symlink, so I suggest to insert it straight to the package. I would be nice, if you produce this fix for previous versions of openSUSE too. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Find program using gksu 2. Try it to run ;-) Actual Results: no gksu in ... Expected Results: work ;-) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
