Hi Howard,
I just 'fixed' my suspend issue.. Gave it another try with the newest kernel.
After some fiddling it turns out the newer kernel does not like an added
suspend script I had put a script in /etc/pm/sleep.d.
The only thing it does is to stop the network service and unload
(@suspend)/reload (@resume) my wifi driver. Normally this resulted in quicker
resume of my wifi connection..been using the script since 10.3.
Traced the problem maker down to the 'modprobe -r iwl3945'. For some reason
kernel 2.6.27.19-3.2pae and up struggle with this..
Any chance you're also using custom hooks for your suspend/resume?
