To me this one boils down to creating a new section "Managing network bridges with YNetwork Manager" inspired by the section "Setting up a bridge with NetworkManager" at https://www.happyassassin.net/posts/2014/07/23/bridged-networking-for- libvirt-with-networkmanager-2014-fedora-21/
@Jim, agree?
I think that's fine, although the article is quite old. I see there are other docs on the topic, e.g.
https://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/how-to-add-network-bridge-with-nmcli- networkmanager-on-linux/
Among all the docs should be steps for managing bridges with NM that actually work on Leap. Including those steps, along with how to use the bridge with VMs, would be a nice addition to the doc.
@JimL How is such bridge used by VMs? As described in 'Optional: How to use br0 with KVM' at the suggested URL?
Changes in this area of the doc should also mention libvirt's interface driver not working with NM (comment #4).
@Jim: Could you please put such sentence somewhere along https://github.com/SUSE/doc-sle/pull/972/files#diff-b18bc91f539e0e4275edf57e... ? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
