[Bug 1208141] New: CBLAS removed when going from Leap 15.2 to SLE based
https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1208141 Bug ID: 1208141 Summary: CBLAS removed when going from Leap 15.2 to SLE based Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 15.5 Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other Assignee: screening-team-bugs@suse.de Reporter: stefan.bruens@rwth-aachen.de QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Leap up to 15.2 had a dedicated cblas package. With 15.3, this was silently dropped. Tumbleweed provides cblas from the (netlib-)lapack source package, which since Lapack 3.6.0 bundles cblas, and is the authoritative source. Unfortunately, SLE 15 (up to and including SP5) only provides Lapack 3.5.0. For some packages, CBLAS is a hard dependency, while for others (e.g. python-numpy) there are fallbacks which cause a slowdown of several orders of magnitude. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
