http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=557403 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=557403#c0 Summary: Laptop's speaker does not work on Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pi 1505 (hda-intel ALC861) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Sound AssignedTo: tiwai@novell.com ReportedBy: endre_gabriel@freemail.hu QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=328760) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=328760) Output of alsa-info.sh User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.4) Gecko/20091016 SUSE/3.5.4-1.1.2 Firefox/3.5.4 Linux linux-kpws 2.6.31.5-0.1-desktop #1 SMP PREEMPT 2009-10-26 15:49:03 +0100 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux I've installed 11.2 on my Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pi 1505 laptop and I have trouble with sound: the speaker of the laptop does not work. If something (headset, etc) is plugged into the output jack, then the sound works perfectly, but if I pull it out, then no sound is comming from the speakers of the laptop. Sound capture and recording works fine. The laptop has an hda-intel ALC861 sound card. Only ALSA is installed (no pulseaudio). I've tried all possible "model" options in /etc/modprobe.d/50-sound.conf. In some cases (e.g. 3stack) the speaker works fine, but then the sound recording does not work (tested with arecord, mixer is configured correctly). I haven't found a configuration where both recording and speaker are working correctly. The output of alsa-info.sh is attached. Reproducible: Always -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
