I found that I could disable it in the controlpanel - sessions panel. After updating to 11.1 the wretched thing is back. Only now it has no 'remove from panel' when I right-click. It is still disabled in the session control (see screendump) but there it is in the panel. I don't want to change my resolution. Ever.
