Sorry, but if a solution for a bug report breaks things, then it is usually OK to reopen the bug.

That's a different bug though, as you can see in the changelog. This one was fixed over 3 years ago. And the pam-config calls you mention don't touch /etc/pam.d/kscreenlocker at all.
