[Bug 432413] New: Mail List posts being reject because of html
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=432413 Summary: Mail List posts being reject because of html Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: 32bit OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE3 AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: russbucket@nwi.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Community User Version is KDE 3.5.9 release release 49.1, openSUSE 2.6.25.16-0.1-pae, Kmail 1.9.9 Have several posts rejected by opensuse-user@opensuse.org. because they contain html. The message has no html when viewed in sent mail. Other posts go thru fine. Only difference is a change to the font type and size in the composer on kmail. Below is a post from Bob S on mail list with simular problem: <quote> I have found something that is strange and got some of my mails rejected for HTML I usae kmail exclusively. I am sight impaired, and on occaison, as my eyes get more tired, I use CTL + the mouse scroll wheel to enlarge the printing in the message window. If I reply to any message after that (with the fonts enlarged) the message will be rejected for HTML. Can't explain it, and just don't do that anymore, Shutting down kmail and restarting it restores the default font sizes. Can't say about Tbird or other mail programs. Bob S </quote> Here is the html that was added according to original denied message:

Once set that flag is sticky and should be disabled with Options->Formatting. Is this the case? In any case you can verify the outgoing message by looking at the source of the sent message (press V or use View->View Source), either from your sent items folder or by Queuing it instead of sending it then finding it in your outbox. If you can see a Context-type: multipart/alternative header in the main message headers and a Context-type: text/html in the mime part list, something /is/ going wrong. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
