http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1183488 Bug ID: 1183488 Summary: Cannot pair Sony WF-1000XM3 (bluetooth 5.0 device) and use for audio Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 15.2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem Assignee: screening-team-bugs@suse.de Reporter: Ulrich.Windl@rz.uni-regensburg.de QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- The Sony "earplugs" WF-1000XM3 are two devices that should somehow pair as a single device. With Linux it does not work correctly for reasons unknown. It means I see the device connected, but I can't select it as audio output device. One effect are repeating syslog messages like this: kernel: Bluetooth: hci0: advertising data len corrected Using hcidump I get messages like this:

Trying a manual pair via bluetoothctl, I can scan, pair, and connect. Seems the bluetooth stack is not ready for BT 5.0 devices, or the device is somewhat non-standard. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

In the GNOME settings the device is listed as "Connected", but in the details dialog it's not even classified as audio device. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
