https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=715859 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=715859#c0 Summary: tumbleweed kernel: hang with laptop mode tools remount? Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Factory Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jnelson-suse@jamponi.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- I use laptop-mode-tools on my 11.4 + *tumbleweed* laptop. Woke up this morning, hit the power button to bring it back from hibernate, and it worked fine. However, the KDE battery monitor (another bug) still said "10%" despite having been plugged in all night. "acpi" showed 100%. So, I unplugged, and then plugged back in the laptop. Maybe that'll kick the applet, I thought. Nope. I got a system hang, complete with flashing caps lock key. No magic sysrq for you!
