https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=353524 Summary: tseng driver broken Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: unspecified Platform: i386 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: sndirsch@novell.com ReportedBy: mrmazda@ij.net QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- In 10.2 and prior the ET6100 with 4.5M of RAM worked at up to 1400x1600x16bpp. In 10.3 and Factory there are problems: 1024x768 works 1152x864 doesn't exist 1280x960 displays only about the top 95% of the desktop (balance all black) 1400x1050 displays only about the top 80% of the desktop (balance all black) In both the latter objects in the black do exist, and by good guessing, the menu can be opened and log out selected. In 10.2 and prior the ET6100 with 4.5M of RAM worked at up to 1400x1600x16bpp. In 10.3 and Factory there are problems: The tseng driver in 10.2, 10.3 and 10.3 is exactly the same. In case the xorg.conf of 10.2 is still available, please try with it again.
Apart from this proposal I must say, that I can't see anything wrong when looking at config and logfile. Since we don't have an ET6100 available for testing, you'll need to send it to us (Nürnberg, Germany), so we can have a look at this issue. Otherwise I need to close this issue as WONTFIX. I'm sorry.
