Further, I use a fingerprint reader for my login, and it kind of defeats the purpose if I then need to enter a password anyway (because as soon as I log in KNetworkManager finds a preferred wireless network). I wish this behaved more like the Apple keychain, where it appears to be tied to your login, and if you log in, then the stuff is available. I don't feel like it adds extra security to require a second password to connect to a wireless network, and it actually seems to reduce security to need to type a password in a public place, versus just use the fingerprint reader. If nothing else, it would be nice if the KDE wallet could use PAM so I could use my fingerprint reader for it rather than a password -- I wouldn't so much mind swiping twice instead of swiping followed by password entry. Maybe there are just some configuration options I'm missing, though. P.S.
