--- Comment #18 from Harald Koenig
should hal add the interface "org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume" for the DVD drive, or should exo look for and allow 'org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Storage' too ?
I wonder why hal shows org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Storage twice -- this might be some bug and one entry should read "org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume" instead ?!?
update after some more testing: I tried to hack the exo source above to avoid the error message. then, exo-eject segfaults, DVD doesn't get ejected. looking forther for "vulumes" I found the following UDI: udi = '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/volume_label_SU1030_001' block.device = '/dev/sr0' (string) block.is_volume = true (bool) block.major = 11 (0xb) (int) block.minor = 0 (0x0) (int) block.storage_device = '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/storage_model_DVD_RAM_UJ_862' (string) info.capabilities = {'volume.disc', 'volume', 'block'} (string list) info.category = 'volume' (string) info.interfaces = {'org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume'} (string list) info.parent = '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/storage_model_DVD_RAM_UJ_862' (string) info.product = 'SU1030.001' (string) info.udi = '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/volume_label_SU1030_001' (string) linux.hotplug_type = 3 (0x3) (int) and manually running exo-eject -h /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/volume_label_SU1030_001 works fine, dvd gets ejected! so why is exo-eject called with the udi for the (parent) storage device, and not with the udi for the volume ? now this clearly looks like an xfce bug in thunar to me ?!? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
