I try to use the Plugable UD160A (which Lennart talked a lot about for multiseat) as a docking station for an extended desktop. To do this as Lennart suggested http://www.mail-archive.com/systemd-devel@lists.freedesktop.org/msg12801.htm... I dropped the auto seat logic in /etc/udev/rules.d/ After that the display should be available in KDE/GNOME display settings (that happens in Fedora 19 correctly). But in openSUSE I first have to run xrandr --setprovidersource 1 0 can we put here the same automation logic like in fedora, pls? 1. Drop autoseat for multiseat device Plugable UD160A 2. Connect the device (or if it is connected, reboot). Should work now but I first need to run above mentione xrandr command. My comment belongs here. --- This has been discussed recently. Fedora is using this patch. http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/xorg-x11-server.git/plain/xserver-autobin... (hardcode configuration in Xserver) One of our GNOME developers is currently working on client support, so this can be configured easily inside the desktop.
