[Bug 265431] New: Unrecognized keys for a toshiba satellite a105-s4334
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=265431 Summary: Unrecognized keys for a toshiba satellite a105-s4334 Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: i386 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.2 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: anditosan1000@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de The fn keys to control brightness, lock, fan, screen switch, wireless, and sycronization don't work on openSUSE 10.2 Running xev does no good either because these keys do not produce any output. THey seem to be dead. I tried other linuxes to see how they dealt with the issue. So far, the only one that got the brightness keys to work at least was Ubuntu, although every time I worked with the brightness keys, the x system would go black and then adjust the brightness. I don't know how opensuse would handle this but I think it would be recommendable to work on it. Besides that, the only way to get the multimedia keys was by updating the BIOS. In fact, most of the other fn keys worked after this update but the keys I mentioned remain useless. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

The A100 brightness-keys do not send any key-code either ... So try "modprobe video". -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
