Hello,
opensuse 11 32-bit nvidia graphic card geforce 6600 and Dell 2001FP monitor, which able to present a 1600x1200 resolution on display. The actual resolution is 1280x1024. But nivdia-driver cannot beinstalled:error(http://www.trcompu.com/Computers/LinNotes/NewSuSE-11-4.html)
So I tried on /etc/X11 to generate an xorg.conf with #X -configure and get /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/xgixp_drv.so: undefined symbol: LoaderReqSymLists
Any hints?

I would need more details here like /var/log/Xorg.0.log and/or any xrandr errors when trying to switch to a 1600x1200_50.00 mode.
Because all it ends with a error, I tried install nvidia. But nivdia-driver cannot be installed:error(http://www.trcompu.com/Computers/LinNotes/NewSuSE-11-4.html)
This reference doesn't help me. It apparently contains your experience with openSUSE 11.4 testing.
So I tried on /etc/X11 to generate an xorg.conf with #X -configure and get /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/xgixp_drv.so: undefined symbol: LoaderReqSymLists
This has been fixed (bnc #667877). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Apparently nouveau kernel module cannot be loaded (don't know why). Thus nouveau driver can't be loaded either, so the driver support falls back to nv driver, which only support resolutions via DVI, which are also known to the BIOS. In your case this is 1280x1024. Could you *attach* the output of 'dmesg' so I can try to figure out why "nouveau" module can't be loaded? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Could you try to load it manually via 'modprobe nouveau' and then *attach* again the output of 'dmesg'? BTW, attach does *not* mean pasting it into the commment field.
