This was working when I configured VNC in openSUSE 10.3 through Sax2, so it is something server-side. Screen shot attached. I experienced that on several different machines. But I experienced this already on openSUSE 10.3, which shipped already the KDE4 version of krfb by default. I thought this bug was so obvious, I never opened a bug report for this. For me, krfb was unusable since openSUSE 10.3.
