[Bug 836180] New: Chromium's issues with libxml
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=836180 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=836180#c0 Summary: Chromium's issues with libxml Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Platform: 64bit OS/Version: openSUSE 12.3 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: X11 Applications AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: niaseg1-mx@yahoo.com.br QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/31.0.1605.0 Safari/537.36 SUSE/31.0.1605.0 In some vBulletin forums, edit button, WYISWYG editors and add reputation button don't work. In some bank sites, some button don't work properly or their names don't appear (in this case, sometimes). But in Google Chrome they work without problems. This problem occurs because Chromium in openSUSE is using system's libxml (-Duse_system_libxml=1, see chromium.spec in the source RPM). See here https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=141668 https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=128606 Using Chromium's internal libxml (-Duse_system_libxml=0) can solve this problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to a vBulletin forum 2. Click in the edit button 3. Actual Results: The editor doesn't load. Expected Results: Editor should load, without click another time or trying to open in a new tab. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The latest available version in the repository network:chromium no longer builds against the system libxml, but used the builtin one.
It would be great if somebody can test this as that I haven't noticed any issues before.
Fixed, the editors on vBulletin forums works fine now. PS: thanks for providing a stable version of Chromium. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
