The former lets the plugin not be activated and the latter lets it crash when clicking the "Run"-button. There are already patches that fix the mutex-Problem with GLib >= 2.42 and the new GDB-7.7-commands, as reported in SF#116 and SF#112. I already patched the package in my home-repository, which removes the bugs.
