[Bug 615747] New: Multimedia/Phonon (xine) config does not allow to select my sound card
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=615747 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=615747#c0 Summary: Multimedia/Phonon (xine) config does not allow to select my sound card Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: cmorve69@yahoo.es QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Community User Blocker: --- I have a SB Live!, an integrated sound codec in the motherboard and the HDMI sound outputs. On 11.2 (where the HDMI is not supported by ALSA) in the Multimedia/Phonon config dialog I can select from: - SBLive! Value (rev.8) Standard PCM Playback - HDA Intel (AD198x Analog) And if checked, the advanced devices: - HDA Intel (AD198x Digital) - SB Live! Value [CT4832], Multichannel Capture/PT Playback (IEC958 (S/PDIF) Digital Audio Output) - SB Live! Value [CT4832], ADC Capture/Standard PCM Playback (Center and Subwoofer speakers) - HDA Intel, AD198x Digital (IEC958 (S/PDIF) Digital Audio Output) - SB Live! Value [CT4832], ADC Capture/Standard PCM Playback (Rear speakers) - SBLive! Value (rev.8) PPlayback - SBLive! Value (rev.8) Multichannel Playback But on 11.3 I only can select "HDA Nvidia, NVIDIA HDMI (HDMI Audio Output)" (that does not work, it is another bug). If I check the advanced devices I can also select - HDA Intel, AD198x Digital (IEC958 (S/PDIF) Digital Audio Output) - SB Live! Value [CT4832], Multichannel Capture/PT Playback (IEC958 (S/PDIF) Digital Audio Output) - SB Live! Value [CT4832], ADC Capture/Standard PCM Playback (Rear speakers) - SB Live! Value [CT4832], ADC Capture/Standard PCM Playback (Center and Subwoofer speakers) The 11.3 misses some entries. But the most important, it does not allow me to select "SBLive! Value (rev.8) Standard PCM Playback" or "HDA Intel (AD198x Analog)", the two options that work. A last note: After writing all this I just noticed this happens only with the (default) xine backend, GStreamer uses less descriptive names but shows all the devices. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
