James,
Thank you for your report. Unfortunately, the mentioned attachment (wvdial.conf) did not make into the bug report.
Also, what version of mobile-broadband-provider-info package do you have installed? (this is the package used to provide the needed info to NM about the various providers).
In the latest version, the provider is configured with:
<provider> <name>Orange</name> <gsm> <network-id mcc="641" mnc="14"/> <apn value="orange.ug"> <plan type="postpaid"/> <usage type="internet"/> </apn> </gsm> </provider>
Do you have a chance to verify MCC, MNC and APN values?
OK, my /etc/wvdial.conf: [Dialer Defaults] Init1 = ATZ Init2 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0 Init3 = AT+CGDCONT=1 Modem Type = USB Modem Baud = 460800 New PPPD = yes Modem = /dev/ttyACM0 ISDN = 0 Phone = *99# Password = foo Username = bar Stupid Mode = 1 Installed mobile-broadband-provider-info version is 20120614-1.1.1 That APN is correct, but I am not sure about the postpaid plan. I do not know how one would check the MCC and MNC. Is it of note that none of these details are required to connect? I am being billed correctly. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
