http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1205571 http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1205571#c5 Stefan Dirsch <sndirsch@suse.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|CONFIRMED |IN_PROGRESS --- Comment #5 from Stefan Dirsch <sndirsch@suse.com> --- Ok. suse-prime is autoselected for installation on laptops with Intel + nVidida graphics. And I assume in %post installation of x11-video-nvidiaG06 package it's executed "prime-select nvidia", so rendering via nVidia GPU should have been active. When uninstalling suse-prime (runs 'prime-select unset') you're back to Intel graphics - not using nVidia GPU at all. I you want to help investigating this issue you would need run sudo rpm zypper in suse-prime sudo rpm -e x11-video-nvidiaG06 sudo zypper in x11-video-nvidiaG06 --> logout from your desktop or reboot the machine Then I would need at least your X logfile. Where you can find it depends on your desktop. Oh well. Could be in /var/log/Xorg.0.log or $HOME/.local/share/xorg/Xorg.0.log. Also interesting Output of - prime-select get-current - lsmod | grep nvidia - dmesg -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

This should have been sudo zypper in suse-prime sudo rpm -e x11-video-nvidiaG06 --nodeps sudo zypper in x11-video-nvidiaG06 --> logout from your desktop or reboot the machine But meanwhile I noticed that on machine with enable Secureboot (check with 'mokutil --sb-state') you need to run prime-select nvidia manually after reboot. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

I can see mouse pointer but that's it. Like I said in original post kernel 6.0.3 I can see login screen and graphics seem to work fine. [ 0.006366] Secure boot enabled Unfortunately that's needed on your machine with Secureboot enabled and of course accepting the Secureboot Signing key. You can start the machine in runlevel 3 to run this command before X gets started. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
