yes i followed the HOWTO and when You do it it's reproducible- I don't think so. I bet that no package is autoselected and you selected them manuallly.
"If no additional packages are autoselected, your card is not supported by the driver (RPMs) at the moment."
what I'm saying is that NVIDIA can be easily installed when You compile by yourself. The RPM contains nvidia module for different kernel version than the one installed in Opensuse 11.0 by default. IT has nothing to do with my nvidia card. Now I'm using NVIDIA driver when I installed kernel-source RPM and compiled the NVIDIA by myself.
