[Bug 807989] New: secure boot failed if /boot is on lvm
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=807989 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=807989#c0 Summary: secure boot failed if /boot is on lvm Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: RC 2 Platform: 64bit OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Bootloader AssignedTo: jsrain@suse.com ReportedBy: mchang@suse.com QAContact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: System Test Blocker: --- The 'opensuse_secureboot' cannot boot if configured /boot on LVM [1]. On the other hand if we disable secure boot and boot from ordinary 'opensuse' entry, it boots and works pretty well. Note: If we try to configure /boot on lvm, you'll encounter "Because of partitioning, the boot loader cannot be installed properly" and you don't get any proposed bootloader during installation. However if you ignore them and proceed the installation eventually works as this is supported by grub2 (but not by grub, but we still inherit our default proposal from grub).
