Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: parthenolide@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.7) Gecko/2009022800 SUSE/3.0.7-1.1.6 Firefox/3.0.7 Kontact calendar vers: 4.2.1, KDE The cal.ics file that is sent to attendees for a new event shows the wrong time. The time contained in the body of the email sent is correct. The time in the attached cal.ics file is set to one hour later. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Kontact. 2. Click on calendar tab. 3. Create a new event 4. Invite an attendee. 5. Send email. Possible related issues: time zone: America/Los Angeles (PDT) The US moved up daylight saving time to the first weekend of March, this year. The problem appeared to start the last week of February. The clock did not automatically go into daylight saving time. It had to be reset. Local clock was reset using a public server using NTP. The clock jumped up an hour (DST?) later on March 2nd. The clock was reset again using NTP. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Most likely, the code is using two different algorithms for generating the invite time, and the ical.ics file. The algorithm for generating the time of the ical.ics file is faulty. If this is the case, a better coding technique would be to use a single algorithm for generating time, that is referenced by both functions, and to use the algorithm for the invite time. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
