(2) Newly created documents are not listed under "Recent documents". Especially the latter feature is very important, so it would be good if that part were fixed. But I can not reproduce your description. For (1), can you upload a screenshort to describe this problem clearly? We have disabled it long time ago. It should not be needed because the splash screen (with the status bar) is opened almost immediately now. Add (2): Bob, do you mean the "Recent documents" in the OOo menu "File/Recent documents" or the "Recently used" tab in the KDE Start menu? I see the recently opened documents in the OOo menu here. I see the recently opened documents in the KDE menu only when I open them from konqueror. OOo is pretty slow on my system (openSUSE 11.1, KDE 4.2, 1.5 GHz, 750 MiB RAM), so it usually takes some time for the splash screen to appear. I suppose I need to be patient and avoid pressing my OOo shortcut more than one (I usually end up with several new documents ... ) Well, the delay would probably there with the bouncing cursor activated, too, although I do miss it ... (2) I was referring to the Recently Used Documents tab in openSUSE's Start Menu. The newly recreated documents appear fine in OOo's recent docs menu, but not in the Start Menu.
