Start package manager from YAST 2. search for and check binutils 3. hit the accept button Actual Results: error report: Subprocess failed. This was not intended. I don't think any extraordinary measures are required to prevent stupid mistakes. It is odd that I didn't get (or missed) the warning message. I removed the _cross_ binutils package and all appears well.
