[Bug 442824] New: Openhand clutter 0.82 tests crash the X server
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=442824 Summary: Openhand clutter 0.82 tests crash the X server Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: sndirsch@novell.com ReportedBy: contact@philipashmore.com QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=250756) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=250756) Output of the "Miscellaneous/Support Query" YaST2 applet I downloaded and built clutter 0.82 and ran the tests. I noticed that this product is built by the OpenSuse build service, but I couldn't find the correct repository to install it from. I filed a bug report with openhand http://bugzilla.openedhand.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1243 How to reproduce: Download from http://www.clutter-project.org/sources/clutter/0.8/clutter-0.8.2.tar.bz2 Extract cd clutter-0.8.2 /configure --prefix=<user dir> make make install cd tests <run tests from this directory> The examples that created windows would display screen corruption when the window was moved off screen and back, sometimes crashing the X server. A power off was the only option. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Don't understand this question. You don't know how to ask a question on an openSUSE mailing list? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=442824 User contact@philipashmore.com added comment https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=442824#c11 --- Comment #11 from Philip Ashmore <contact@philipashmore.com> 2008-11-24 07:05:55 MST --- Even a Web url for the correct developer mailing list would be enough. I looked in http://forums.opensuse.org/ but that seems like a "self help" or "community help" portal. I think that a forum [used by/contributed to by] OpenSuse developers focused on applications that form part of the OpenSuse product would be a more suitable place to raise (and resolve) this issue. At least that was my experience with Fedora. I remember posting a question on an nVidia forum (I'm now using Intel) about a problem with hibernation on Linux and I was given the friendly advice to try a lower resolution and / or fewer colors! If OpenSuse has a web page with a form where you could specify your problem domain (combo boxes for video, audio, processor, software package etc, including "dont' know" or n/a) I think it would be an improvement on a keyword search, which is what http://forums.opensuse.org/ and https://bugzilla.novell.com/ offer now. For what it's worth I submitted a seperate bug about crystalspace https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=448197 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
