https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=217775 rschulz@sonic.net changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Component|Zenworks |Other ------- Comment #2 from rschulz@sonic.net 2006-11-03 12:52 MST ------- Yow! How about I tell you that after 340 minutes of accumulated CPU time (at which time I issued the command "/etc/init.d/novell-zmd stop") the current /var/log/zmd-messages.log constituted 79,658 lines and 8085170 bytes. Furthermore, the file contains nothing but repetitions of these two lines (these particular two being the first recorded in /var/log/zmd-messages.log): 03 Nov 2006 07:13:00 INFO RPMBackend Loading installed packages 03 Nov 2006 07:13:00 INFO ScheduleManager Exception from scheduler: library routine called out of sequence (code: MISUSE) The only exception are these, which presumably correspond to me stopping the daemon: 03 Nov 2006 07:13:16 INFO Daemon Received signal SIGTERM 03 Nov 2006 07:13:16 INFO UnixWebServer Unix server stopped Is that sufficient? If not and you really want the file. I will next attach a gzip-compressed copy of zmd-backend.log, whose contents are not so repetetive. https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=217775 ------- Comment #6 from peter.schlaf@web.de 2006-11-12 03:46 MST ------- The same problem exists after upgrading openSuSE 10.1 -> 10.2 beta2. zmd consumed 90-95% of cpu time (seen with "top"). In /var/log/zmd-backend.log 272 of these messages were added every second: 12 Nov 2006 11:43:53 INFO RPMBackend Loading installed packages 12 Nov 2006 11:43:53 INFO ScheduleManager Exception from scheduler: library routine called out of sequence (code: MISUSE) But after stopping and restarting novell-zmd in Yast->System->Runlevel-Editor everything was fine. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=217775 ------- Comment #7 from peter.schlaf@web.de 2006-11-12 03:50 MST ------- Oh bugger... These messages appear in /var/log/zmd-messages.log of course (not /var/log/zmd-backend.log). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
