After changing powermanagement settings via System Settings and following a reboot, desktop opens at lowest screen brightness. Power Control from the sys tray slider is all the way to the left. You can slide it to the right without effect. When you open the applet again it's all the way back to the left. The brightness slider for the performance profile in the main Sys Settings UI is at 100% brighness. However the Brightness Fn combo button on this laptop brings brightness back no problem. The powercontrol in the sys tray still shows to far left. This is a Lenovo R61e? Can you also check whether your tested kernels are really the same (if installed via rpm you could do: rpm -q --changelog kernel-default |less rpm -q --changelog kernel-desktop |less .. and make sure the last commits were the same. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Are you wanting me to try the other kernels for you in released 11.2? This is a Lenovo R61e? I more expect it got fixed in e.g. RC2. It may be related to bug #534416. I set this one to fixed for now. If you should still see this with the GM (GoldMaster/Release) or later kernels, please reopen. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
