Pardon my chiming in on this thread. My similar problems (bug 742088) appear resolved with kernel 3.5.1 and 3.5.2 which I installed from Kernel/Stable repositories. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

So far no issues but I'd like to test this more to make sure the issue is really resolved. If that is the case, you'll need to mark this ticket as a duplicate of the ticket Rafael said was not the same issue as this one. Yes, but there is no crash log. (In reply to comment #10)

if it is possible to get system log started with kernel 3.1.10-1.16-desktop and crashed like your attached photos , please attach the log file, we need that to debug. btw, how about your CPU testing with stress? https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=774292 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=774292#c15 --- Comment #15 from Federico Vecchiarelli <fedev@gmx.net> 2012-08-24 08:35:20 UTC --- The log I attached earlier included the time the system crashed. Of course, there are no entries related to it in the log. I verified this by looking at the time I took the photo and the entry in the logs. So definitely the crash does not produce any log entries in /var/log/messages. Anyway,it's been two days with the new kernel and the crash has not occurred yet. I'll be thus taking a leap of faith here and assume something was changed for kernel 3.5.2-39 which fixed the issue. Same as it was fixed for bug Bug 742088. Would this kernel be shipped with the soon to be release 12.2? You can close the ticket as you reply. I leave it up to you if you want to identify what caused the issue. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
