http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=568304 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=568304#c0 Summary: Firewire disk does not get mounted on plugin Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: toroimre@elte.hu QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.0.16) Gecko/2009121601 Ubuntu/9.04 (jaunty) Firefox/3.0.16 Plugging in an old Lacie USB/Firewire disk gets recognized when used as FW disk, but does not get automounted in GNOME desktop. Manual mounting as /dev/sdc1 works without problem (the filesystem is fat32). On the other hand using it as a USB disk works as expected, the disk is mounted. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Plugin disk through FW cable 2.dmesg (/var/log/message) shows the disk is recognized 3.Plugin disk through USB cable Actual Results: As USB disk GNOME mounts the disk, as FW disk only recognized at kernel level. Expected Results: The Firewire disk should get mounted as well. Checked on Ubuntu 9.10 and 9.04. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Not likely, you have already upgraded to newer versions of openSUSE, which had a lot more bug fixes. We believe that this specific bug has been fixed during one of the release cycles; as such, I close the bug as 'FIXED'. Should you be able to reproduce this issue on a newer openSUSE version, please feel to report it again. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
