[Bug 560742] New: Kaddressbook missing field "City (private)"
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=560742 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=560742#c0 Summary: Kaddressbook missing field "City (private)" Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: dr.glastonbury@gmx.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Opera/9.80 (X11; Linux x86_64; U; de) Presto/2.2.15 Version/10.10 As I wanted to import the CSV-file from my old KDE3-Addressbook I choose "use pattern" (in German: Vorlage anwenden) and clicked on KAddressBook (KDE 3.1). But the private Address isn't imported properly because the Field "City (private)" (in German: Stadt (privat)) is missing. But if you create a new entry you can insert a private address and even export it. So whats going wrong there? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click File -> Import -> CSV-List 2. Choose your old KDE3-Addresslist 3. Choose "Use pattern" and there KAddressBook (KDE3.1) 3.1 alternatively you can try to assign each field on your own - "City (private)" is still missing 4. Click on import Actual Results: Address of contact is incomplete: the Postcode as well as the city/municipylity are missing. Expected Results: The addresses should be the same as in KDE3.5-Kaddressbook -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

A german translation of "Home Address City" as "Staat/Bundesland (privat)" duplicating the translation for "Home Address State" is used in the field header combo box. This does not allow duplicates, so each duplicated field was lost. As a workaround you can start KAddressbook only in English using the Help menu Switch Application Language. - Also you don't have to use CSV to get your KDE 3 addresses into KDE 4 , you can just copy the file, from .kde/share/apps/kabc/std.vcf by default to the same dir in .kde4. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
