At the moment, there are heavy incompatibilities making Eclipse nearly unusable in this version combination, see my report: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=288909 GTK 2.16.1 works without problems. Hopefully, either the GTK or Eclipse developers will have a solution when openSUSE 11.2 will be released. This is probably a problem with client-side-windows. I'll monitor fo rbugs upstream.
It's exactly - the detail can be found in bug#549849 comment#3. There's nothing much to do - eclipse (or swt based applications) needs to be runned with GTK_NATIVE_WINDOWS=true.
