PAM_SERVICE_NAME : PAM_SERVICE_NAME_L, + pw->pw_name, &conv, &pamh); I think only Thorsten can say if we should provide a su-l file for pam.d/ in coreutils. But when this is wrong it is a bug of coreutils, not pam :-) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=254428 ------- Comment #2 from kukuk@novell.com 2007-03-14 08:28 MST ------- "su" is using pam.d/su-l, I would expect that it is using pam.d/su And we need to document this change or make sure, that changes to pam.d/su will be take over for pam.d/su-l, else it can happen that you lock out the people on an update. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

Additional, documentation is completly missing, from the names of the files I would expect that "su -l" is using su-l, and normal su "su". But that's not the case. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

So the current status is preliminary.
