Somehow this has disappeared between Leap 42.3 and Leap 15. Attached is a comparison of Leap 42.3 and Leap 15 (as of late April 2018) You can see in the 42.3 on the right there is the option to change the Display Manager and that is omitted in the Leap 15 screen on the left. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

exactly. This is handled by update-alternatives now. Needs to be mentioned in the release notes.
i learned this the hard way at 3AM in the morning. The Windows Manager option in /etc/sysconfig also doesnt work. The Yast2-Alternatives should come with the install by default now if some of the features of the /etc/sysconfig are going to be migrated to alternatives.
