At this point, a can press to Sessions, Language menus. So, system isn't hang. I install OS with default software and system configuration, except: DE - XFCE SSH - enabled Partitions: "swap" and "/" (without "home" directory) I've only one user - "root" with "123456" password Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Opensuse 11.4 x86 to VirtualBox 2. Select DE: XFCE before start installation 3. From the screenshot it looks like you might be using LXDM rather than GDM which is the default display manager for the Xfce desktop. Could it be that you installed LXDE instead of Xfce? From what media did you install, the official 11.4 DVD?

It's my mistake. Second time, i've installed with XFCE as default DE and it's ok, I can login with no problems. But when I've third time installed, with LXDE at this time, I can't login from user root. So, the subject of this issue should be: "After fresh opensuse 11.4 installation, can't login first time to LXDE" I OpenSUSE11.4.iso is used, that downloaded from opensuse.org.
