I'm not sure how the sizes are determined, but my monitor was falsely reporting its specs, so I had to add the following to my xorg.conf under the display section: "Ooption" "UseEDIDDpi" "FALSE" (See Bug #227111). I'm guessing that's 4.0.x. I have done all the recommended software updates. Where do I get libQt 4.4.2? The mouse cursor and lettering on my icons are black. The ethernet globe in the lower right hand corner is a black square with a green globe inside that looks very odd. The start menu / kicker menu extends almost the entire height of the screen.
