If the controller cannot be enumerated, there is no way to load the matching driver automatically. Is your machine a recent one? It's hard to believe any recent machine equipped with a IDE controller which is not enumerated as a PCI device. If this is an ancient machine with a real ISA IDE controller, you'll just have to specify the kernel parameter. Can't do that automatically without hurting other common cases. Resolving as INVALID.
